Reasons to work for NGK Europe

Open interaction with each other – a team with flat hierarchies that helps and supports each other, just like a family. Due to the members that have been with NGK Europe for a long period, our corporate culture is distinct and traditional. At the same time, we are open to new influences and experiences from the dynamic industry as well as from new members.

We are very international, not only as part of the global group and our Japanese parent company, but also because of our members from around 20 nations. Our company language is English and our dealings with customers are often on an international level.

Our company is located in the heart of the Rhine-Main area where we are centrally located and also in the countryside. The surrounding area not only offers opportunities to spend a break in the nature but is also easy to reach with good connection via the S-Bahn and free parking when commuting by car. The nearby canteen and supermarket offer lunch opportunities and can be used with one of our benefits, the job lunch allowance.

We believe that only mutual respect and trust can promote a working atmosphere that enables everyone to give their best. It is also important for us to recognize each employee as an individual and to support the diversity of our employees by emphasising equal opportunities, enabling and advancing personal development. Whether it is a long-standing or a new member, we know how important each member and its tasks are and express our appreciation for each other. We can only be successful as a team as every member contributes to this success.

Besides technologies for improving air quality, NGK develops new technologies in Energy, Carbon Neutrality and Digital Society sectors. We are continuously working on visionary business models to develop advanced products to improve living standards and generate environmental and social benefits. Based on our wide portfolio and core competences we are prepared for the transformation and to generate solutions for the next decades.

NGK Europe is regarded as a reliable partner in a dynamic market environment and has secured its strong position in the automotive supplier industry. We are proud of our long-lasting business relationship with our customers and, as a solid company, we have the strength to drive innovations and to cope with the upcoming market transition.

A vision is not just a dream of something in the distance, but a goal that we would like to gradually fulfil with our milestones. We all know that the world is facing decisive changes, especially in the area of the environment. Since it is anchored in our philosophy that our products should contribute to society, we are neither afraid to tackle the issue of carbon neutrality nor of digital society by 2050 as stated in our vision.

Through intensive training, you will get to know our products and other areas in which NGK Europe will go into the future strengthened. Therefore, we want to encourage our members to take their development as an important issue, as continuous development is more important than ever. Focusing on professional development, we have implemented training in three areas, which also includes a cross-cultural training, which gives you a better understanding of the Japanese culture.

We want to support our members in their 39-hour-week by giving them the necessary flexibility through core working hours. We not only think about the present, but also about the future with a payment to the company pension scheme and capital-forming benefits after the probationary period. Get excited about many other benefits that we are constantly expanding and celebrate with us at the Summer BBQ and our Christmas Party. Sport events like soccer matches are always a part of our company culture.

There is no general dress code, however this depends mainly on the area you work in and whether you have customer meetings. If you have a customer meeting, the dress style is business; if you don’t have a customer meeting, it’s more business casual.

We have a dynamic daily business. Therefore, we implemented a core working time for the exchange with each other. Besides this the time can be flexibly organised under the responsibility of the employees as we trust that each member knows best how much time one needs to spend on the tasks and when. For us, full-time means 39 hours per week.

We do offer a mobile working concept, which enables our employees to work mobile for a maximum of 3 days per week depending on responsibilities. Therefore, everyone will be equipped with a notebook and appropriate equipment to be able to work mobile within Germany.
